Lazy Sunday, NOT!

Well, it is Labor day weekend and of course that is what we have done. The kids let the neighbors cat in the house and it promptly marked its territory. Needless to say I have been cleaning the carpets, rugs and couches. We have also been helping some friends put in an irrigation system. I am thinking that it is time to run away from home!

I have been reflecting on how time has flown by so fast. Our children are getting so big and we feel very blessed to have such great kids. I love the fact that all though Devin has passed me up height-wise, it makes me feel petite. Yes, I can only think skinny at this point.

We hope you are all well and wish the best for all of you!

Our Family

I thought I should acclimate everyone to this blog! Some of you are subject to endure us on a daily basis. Others we have not seen in years.

Todd and I are going on 14 years of marriage. I am still looking for the person who claims that marriage is "Happily Ever After"! It is REALLY hard! Especially when you add kiddos into the mix. Within the first month our white horse ran away and my castle was filthy! Even with all the ups and downs we are still together and looking forward to the future.

I am currently working full-time for the family business. I am also going to college so that (when I grow up) I will have a degree that I am not sure what I will do with. About two years ago I was sitting and thinking about my life. I came to the conclusion that if I lived to be in my 80's that I had at least 50 YEARS left of my life. So, I started my "thing to do before I die" list. Yes! I have a bucket list! :)

Todd is working in the oilfield. He does something that I can't explain. It is electrical though. lol. He recently decided that he wanted to learn to draw. He has been very persisitant and his skills are improving daily. He is a jack of all trades and a wealth of useless facts!

Then to the kiddos:

Devin is now 13. He is in the 8th grade. He has also attained the teenage attitude. We are in the process of taming his wild tongue before it gets him into trouble. He doesn't need anymore help in that department. He is still playing baseball, drawing, and learning the piano. Unfortunately for Devin, his voice hasn't completely changed yet. For that reason he sounds just like his mother on the phone. He gets a kick out of pretending to be me on the phone. Unfortunately for his mother, the girls calling the house for Devin get irritated when she answers the phone. They know it is Devin and can't figure out why he is trying to trick them.

Chase. He is 10 going on 11. He is in the 5th grade. The best way to describe Chase is with on sentence. "Hi, my name is Chase and I am addicted to video games!" He tends to go through withdrawals if he isn't able to play either the gameplayers or the computer for very long. Like his dad, he is also a wealth of useless knowledge. He loves to learn. When he wants to learn about a new topic, he finds out EVERYTHING he possible can on the subject. He is also in piano.

Now to the Diva Morgan. She is the Queen of the house. She has all the men in this family wrapped around her little finger. She is very dramatic, charismatic, and lovable! She just started kindergarten and is loving it! On the first day she didn't want mom to leave her because she was scared that no one would be her friend. Within five minutes she was swarming with friends. She walked over to me and said that I could go now. She didn't need me. :( She is a dancing and singing fool. She loves to pose for the camera and like her brothers, has no fear.

So there you have it. The latest installation of our lives. *SMOOCHIES*

I thought that things would be more relaxed when the kids went back to school

Well all three kids are back in school. Todd is gone to work. I thought that I would have time to get a few "me" things in before I started back to school on the 24th. Boy was I wrong!
